An early Thanksgiving at the Redford's

Because Zach will be deployed during the holidays this year we decided to celebrate the holidays a little early (being that the holidays are our absolute favorite)!! Funny thing is that our Christmas tree was up before Halloween had even come around and earlier this week I was off to the store to buy everything we needed for a great Thanksgiving feast!!

I had never cooked a turkey before but talked it through (in detail!) with my Grandma and Dad and felt pretty confident that I could pull it off. Our menu included: Turkey, Grandma's Cornbread Dressing, Green Bean Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Stuffing and Rolls!! The house started smelling like Thanksgiving and we started to get very excited!! I even pulled out my china for the first time : )

The feast was better than we could have ever hoped for and we feel so blessed and thankful to be where we are now and have each other and our families. It seems like our lives have made a complete 180 since this time last year but we couldn't be happier. Sharing these experiences together and making memories through it all really make our hearts smile!

This Thanksgiving, we thank our Lord for all of the blessings he has given us and the strength I know he will give us during the upcoming months.

My first turkey! And it was delicious!!
Our early Thanksgiving feast : )
Is your mouth watering yet?!
