The day we have been waiting for for over 7 months finally arrived!! On Wednesday, June 13th Zach's ship pulled into Pearl Harbor and he caught a flight home to San Diego. I was a NERVOUS WRECK all day perfecting every square inch of our house and myself. His flight arrived a little before midnight and it was the sweetest moment of my life. As soon as I caught a glimpse of him in his dress whites I started tearing up. He ran up to me, picked me up and spun me around. I just kept touching his face saying, "Oh my goodness! You ARE real!"
We came straight home and he surprised Sadie. She was wagging her nub and kissing him all over. Then, we made some homemade pizza in the middle of the night (neither of us were able to eat all day because of nerves!) and just caught up. We stayed up all night then caught a little cat nap at about 7am. The reunion was worth the wait and it is definitely true when they say, "The longer the wait, the sweeter the kiss!" We are finally getting to experience this beautiful town that we live in!!
