A little time outdoors!!

We keep getting spoiled with nice days here and there, I can't complain but really wish they would stay!! Last weekend we took Harper to the Virginia Zoo for the first time and she really enjoyed being outdoors. She rode on daddy's shoulders and just squealed through the whole park. It was quite cute! I'm not sure if she was more interested in the animals or looking at the other kids around. She is so intrigued by children and loves to watch and play with them. We also took her to the playground and lake on base and she had a good time climbing all the way up the jungle gym and going down the slides. The other kids there were very nice and good with her and helped her along. It was so nice to see that as a parent!!

Then, all of last week Zach was underway so we spent our first week apart since moving out here. It was a hard adjustment because we've grown used to being together every day and I can certainly tell he's not around when taking care of Harper alone. We got through it though and had a great reunion with him on Friday when we brought lunch to him and went aboard his new ship for the first time.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful here! While we were hearing about Texas getting ice and cold weather, we were enjoying mid-70s here in Virginia (our snow is coming today). Zach and I cleaned up the yard while Harper took her first nap then we all went to Dickey's in Virginia Beach for a BBQ lunch. Harper really enjoys BBQ!! We then went to this really nice park and took Harper in the bike trailer and played at the playground. Then, went to the beach on base and Harper absolutely loved it. She crawled and tried to walk up and down that beach and was just giggling and clapping her hands nonstop. She would sprawl out on her belly in the sand and kick her feet and smile. We definitely have a beach baby!! After a while we headed home and put her down for her afternoon nap while we got her kiddie pool ready, of course Sadie had to test out the water first! Zach and I laid out and listened to music while watching Harper and Sadie play in the pool. It was such a great way to end the perfect weekend reunited with daddy!!

Now today, we have a 100% chance of snow. This weather is absolutely nuts!!
