Wow, I cannot believe this month is already almost over! It has been quite a challenging month for us as Harper was diagnosed with a sinus infection in late April - early May, had her first real stomach bug, then came down with a very bad case of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.
The good news is that Harper is all better now (besides a few sores still healing) and is back to her normal, happy, fun-loving self! This is such a huge relief to me because seeing her in such distress and not being able to do much besides cuddle her just about broke my heart. She spent about 10 days without sleeping at night and crying uncontrollably because of the pain :(
We had a great Memorial weekend with Zach going to the beach, the Strawberry Festival and the community swimming pool that just opened up. Harper absolutely LOVES the water and it is quite challenging keeping up with her at the beach or pool. Luckily, Zach was with me because there is no way I could chase her at almost 9 months pregnant!! She is fearless (good 'ole Redford gene) and has developed a strong case of independence! She does not want us to help her do anything and gets such a look of determination on her face when she is trying something new or challenging. I love seeing my baby work so hard to figure things out but goodness, how am I supposed to keep up with her, especially with Payton coming anytime now?!
I'm a little over 34 weeks pregnant now and am feeling like she could come any day. Last week I was dilated a little over 2 cm and about 40% effaced. The doctor told me that she had already dropped and she could feel her head! That is absolutely crazy to me because we are about to be a family of 4!! We CANNOT wait to see what she looks like and fall deeply in love with her like we have with Harper. Zach has 2 weeks leave coming up then my dad is coming to be with me when he goes underway until my due date. I am SO thankful for them as it is already difficult for me to get around much!
Here are some pics of what we've been doing lately. Enjoy!
